Yerevan Brandy Company guided tour

On September 10, immediately after the business program of the 8th International Conference for Country Code Top-level Domain (ccTLD) Registries and Registrars of the CIS, Central and Eastern Europe (TLDCON-2015), the delegates will have a unique opportunity to visit the Yerevan Brandy Company. They will learn all about the history of the Armenian brandy industry and about the brandy production process, and get to savor the wonderful beauty, inimitable aroma and taste of a variety of brandies.

The Yerevan Brandy Company is almost as popular symbol of the Armenian capital as Mount Ararat. Its basements store tremendous amounts of precious brandy spirits, many of which were poured into barrels as far back as the 19th century. Its monumental building, located on a hill and decorated with traditional Armenian bas-reliefs, seems to float above the city. This is the only place where the legendary Ararat brandies are still produced.

The delegates will visit the company museum and find out more about its history. They will also be shown the brandy-aging shop, see how the bottles are stored, spend some time in the degustation hall and enjoy the subtle taste and rich aroma of brandy.
